How to build a useful flashcard set from nursing notes

Choose a focused note
Pick material from one lecture or one learning objective. Remove unrelated sections and never upload patient information.

Open the Flashcards action
Open the note in Feynman Nurse and select Flashcards. The app creates cards from that note when no saved set exists.

Check every prompt and answer
Compare terms, numbers, and clinical statements with your source. Delete or correct any card that is unclear or unsupported.

Review before revealing
Answer each prompt from memory. Reveal the answer only after your attempt, then grade the result honestly.

Quality checks
Keep the workflow useful.
Split broad prompts
Replace a prompt such as “Explain the whole lecture” with separate questions for definitions, relationships, and sequence.
Keep the source available
Return to the original note when an answer feels uncertain. Do not use generated cards as an independent clinical source.
Revise weak cards
A repeated wrong answer can show a weak prompt. Rewrite the card before you repeat the same unhelpful review.

Can I study saved cards again?
Yes. Saved cards remain connected to the note. The review screen shows cards for continued study without creating a new set.

Can I upload clinical paperwork?
Do not upload patient information or private clinical documents. Use permitted course material and fictional or de-identified study examples.
